LADbible x Visa
Problem:
Visa isn’t seen until checkout, and even then, it’s a small symbol that is overlooked. Shopping online has become so smooth that young people pay on autopilot, choosing whatever card is saved, using Apple Pay, or reaching for whatever card is closest, often not thinking about their payment choice.
Task:
To make Visa a more visible part of the online shopping journey for young people, in order to drive usage.
Insight:
The smooth experience of online shopping has shortened the distance from inspiration to reality.
Strategy:
Rather than see Visa's hidden role in the shopping journey as negative, our strategy was to dramatize its role in turning inspiration into reality with ease.
The idea:
How it started vs. How it's going
A social content series that shares the experiences of real people whose online purchases have helped change their lives. We dramatized stories including how buying a dumbbell led to building a home gym in a garden, buying a van led to converting it into a home, and buying a BBQ Smoker led to becoming the ultimate fire chef.
Results
The numbers - 3.2 million video views and 427,000 engagements.
The shift - A 6% increase in likelihood to use Visa when shopping online next after being exposed to the partnership, and 1 in 4 saying they will purchase using VISA after seeing this campaign on social media.
